- fire station, here in 1860. Vauxhall Road fire station was moved here due to the lease expiring. Hosereel & ladder station in 1900. Still in operation 1910

- In 1869 the watch committee resolved to move the fire police station to Chisenhale St from Vauxhall Rd where the lease was soon to expire. 1912 Fire police station closed and Reel Cart withdrawn [1860 date in Liverpool's Finest may be incorrect]
